Hike the Dolomites through snow-covered alpine valleys, peaceful forests and beneath towering limestone peaks dusted in white. Winter trails reveal breathtaking views of jagged ridges, frozen lakes and dramatic mountain cliffs, with charming wooden huts and pristine snowy landscapes adding to the magic. Pure Italian alpine winter wonderland.

Your adventure begins as you arrive in Italy, where transport will be arranged to collect you from Venice. It’s well connected to Europe, making your journey smooth and hassle-free. The meeting point, where we will start our journey to the mountains is in the city centre. The transfer will leave at 3pm and takes around 2 hours. If you arrive before this time there are several luggage storage places so you can use the time to explore Venice. If you’re arriving a day early, we can suggest excellent accommodation options to ensure a relaxed start to your journey.
For the duration of the trip, you’ll be based in Falcade, right in the heart of the Dolomites. This means you won’t have to carry all your belongings from place to place, and after each day of hiking, you’ll return to the comfort of a warm shower and a cosy bed. Get ready for an unforgettable week exploring one of Europe’s most spectacular mountain landscapes.

A one way route starting from Passo San Pellegrino, across alpine valleys and pastures, stopping nearby mountain farms and wooden cabins to discover adventure and traditions, along also part of a central stage in the famous Alta Via n.2 within the Marmolada mountain group.

A mesmerising semi-circular route starting nearby Passo Valles, exploring the snowy and rocky alpine slopes of the east side of Catena di Bocche mountain range, hiking in between Veneto and Trentino regions, to reach the amazing viewpoint of Monte Pradazzo and the nearby Rifugio Laresei (lunch at the hut available).

A one way route around and beyond an iconic peak of the majestic national park of Paneveggio and Pale di San Martino mountain group, traversing valleys and gullies on the famous Sentiero Italia, from the altitudes of Passo Rolle to step into the Val Venegia forests and white meadows.

After several days of hiking through the Dolomite’s wild landscapes, today is a chance to slow down, explore the village at your own pace, or take a day trip to one of the country’s other stunning destinations. The spa is also a popular choice.

This demanding loop explores the wild northern flanks of the Pale di San Martino, linking the alpine meadows of Val Venegia with the high pass of Mulaz and the dramatic Val di Focobon. Starting from Paneveggio, the trail climbs gently through larch and spruce forest into the idyllic Val Venegia, where grassy pastures are backed by the vertical towers of the Pale.
From Rifugio Venegiota the path steepens, winding over scree and rocky slopes toward Passo Mulaz (2,619 m). Here the scenery shifts to a stark high-alpine world, with the jagged summits of Cimon della Pala and the Pale plateau dominating the horizon. The descent into Val di Focobon is steep and rugged, surrounded by sheer limestone walls and deep gullies carved by snowmelt streams.
The loop closes by traversing back into Val Venegia, where wide pastures and mountain huts offer a gentler finish after the rugged high ground. Remote, varied, and spectacular, this is one of the great full-day hikes of the Dolomites.

A one way route to deep dive into the geological history of an iconic glacial shaping valley in Dolomiti, following through the woods the Liera stream line to reach the hamlet of Gares, a village steeped in both recent and ancient history, before concluding our journey by crossing the base of the valley glacial cirque, nearby frozen waterfalls (lunch at the hut available).

After an incredible week exploring the wild beauty of the Dolomites, it’s time to pack your bags and begin your journey onwards. Transport will be arranged to take you back to Venice (arrival around midday). It’s recommended not to book a flight before 4pm on the final day to give yourself time to get back to the airport.
If you’re extending your stay, there are plenty of incredible places to explore beyond the mountains. We’d be happy to share recommendations to help you make the most of your time.
As you leave the Dolomites behind, you’ll take with you memories of dramatic peaks, glacial lakes, and unforgettable adventures in one of Europe’s most breathtaking landscapes. Until next time!
