Your adventure begins as you arrive in Slovenia, where transport will be arranged to collect you from the capital’s Ljubljana Airport. It’s well connected to Europe, making your journey smooth and hassle-free. We can also collect you near Bled on the way to the Alps if it’s more convenient.
We will start our journey to the mountains in the late afternoon. If you arrive earlier you can store your luggage in the town centre and use the time to explore Bled. If you’re arriving a day early, we can suggest excellent accommodation options to ensure a relaxed start to your journey. The transfer to the Alps will be late afternoon or when the final guest arrives. If you arrive earlier it’s the perfect opportunity to explore Ljubljana where we’ll take you straight from the airport and look after your bags.
For the duration of the trip, you’ll be based in Kranjska Gora, right in the heart of the Julian Apls. This means you won’t have to carry all your belongings from place to place, and after each day of hiking, you’ll return to the comfort of a warm shower and a cosy bed. Get ready for an unforgettable week exploring one of Europe’s most spectacular mountain landscapes.

This rewarding circuit links some of the most scenic viewpoints around the Vršič Pass in the Julian Alps. Starting at Tonkina Koča, the trail climbs steadily through spruce forest and alpine meadows toward Slemenova Špica (1,911 m). From the grassy summit the panorama opens wide over the dramatic north face of Mount Jalovec and the jagged peaks of the Ponce ridge.
The route descends toward the Vršič Saddle, where the road crests Slovenia’s highest mountain pass, before continuing down past the small settlement of Vršič itself. A final stretch brings you to Erjavčeva Koča, a mountain hut perfectly placed for rest and refreshments.
The return completes the loop back to Tonkina Koča, making for a varied day that combines forests, ridges, alpine viewpoints, and one of the most celebrated vistas in the Julian Alps.

The hike begins at the clear waters of Lake Jasna near Kranjska Gora, climbing steadily through forest on steep mountain paths. The first summit, Vitranc, offers wide views over the Sava Valley and the surrounding Julian Alps, with the limestone walls of Prisojnik and Razor towering above.
From here the trail continues along a rugged ridge to Ciprnik (1,745 m), where the panorama is even broader, stretching across the peaks of the Triglav National Park and down into the valleys of Gozd Martuljek and Planica.
The descent follows marked trails back toward Kranjska Gora, winding through forested slopes and alpine meadows before returning to Lake Jasna. With its combination of scenic lake, forest climbs, ridgeline summits, and sweeping alpine views, this is one of the most rewarding full-day circuits in the area.

Starting from Rudno Polje on the Pokljuka plateau, the trail climbs steadily through spruce forest and meadows before breaking onto open alpine slopes. The ascent to Viševnik (2,050 m) follows grassy ridges and rocky paths, with ever-expanding views of Triglav and the Julian Alps.
From the summit, instead of returning directly, the route continues across the ridge toward Srenjski Preval, adding variety and fresh perspectives over the Bohinj Valley and the Karawanks. The descent from the pass winds back through meadows and forest to Rudno Polje, completing a satisfying loop.
This extension adds a little more distance and ascent while keeping the hike accessible, making it an ideal choice for walkers who want a fuller day in the high mountains.
After several days of hiking through Slovenia’s wild landscapes, today is a chance to slow down, explore at your own pace, or take a day trip to one of the country’s other stunning destinations.
Another great option is the short trip to Lake Bled, one of the most iconic and picturesque destinations in Slovenia, known for its emerald-green waters, fairy-tale island, and dramatic mountain backdrop. Nestled in the foothills of the Julian Alps, the lake offers a perfect mix of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and outdoor activities. Visitors can take a traditional pletna boat to the charming Bled Island, home to the historic Church of the Assumption, or explore Bled Castle, perched high on a cliff with stunning panoramic views. The surrounding area is ideal for kayaking, paddleboarding, or a leisurely walk along the scenic lakefront trail, while those looking for a taste of local tradition can indulge in Bled’s famous cream cake (kremna rezina) at a lakeside café.

Rising to 2,236 m, Stol is the highest mountain of the Karawanks and rewards with far-reaching views across Slovenia and Austria. The hike begins near Žirovnica and climbs steeply through forest before emerging onto alpine meadows with views toward Triglav and the Julian Alps.
The ascent continues on rocky switchbacks to the ridge, where the wide panorama opens across the Drava Valley in Austria on one side and the Sava Valley in Slovenia on the other. From the summit, the outlook stretches from the Julian Alps to the Kamnik-Savinja range and deep into Carinthia.
The descent follows the same route back, with long views over ridges and valleys. Demanding in both length and elevation gain, Stol is a classic mountain day that offers a true high-alpine experience on the border ridge.

This classic hike links the Vogel Ski Center with the panoramic summit of Vogel (1,922 m), one of the best viewpoints above Lake Bohinj. Starting with a cable car ride from Ukanc up to the ski center on the Komna plateau, the trail climbs gradually across alpine meadows with views of Triglav and the surrounding Julian Alps.
The route winds upward on rocky paths toward the ridgeline, passing shepherd huts and pastures where cattle graze in summer. Reaching the summit of Vogel, the panorama is outstanding: Lake Bohinj far below, the sharp peaks of the Triglav massif to the north, and the rolling ridges of the Primorska region stretching toward the Adriatic.
The return follows the same trail back to the ski center, with the cable car descending once more to the lakeshore. Combining mountain scenery with easy access, this hike offers a perfect balance of adventure and comfort, with unforgettable views at every stage.
